Can someone tell me how you know what is taken from my pay for Social Security, Medicare and federal tax withholding? I live in New Hampshire and received the number, I think that from the internet and my accounts. However, I did the math from my salary does not match.

That's what I did.

According to my paycheck this week, I 840.00.

When federal withholding tax (7.35), I made
840.00 x 7.35 = 6.174, the comma 2 = 61.74

On Social Security (6.20), I made
840.00 x 6.20 = 5.208, the comma 2 = 52.08

Medicare (1.5) I
840.00 x 1.5 = 12.60, the comma 2 = 12.60

So I recorded and scored three 126.43

Then, subtract 126.43 from 840.00 = 713.57

That means for me that I should check $ 713.57 and $ 678.74 in reality.

Where am I wrong? If someone help me I would greatly appreciate it, so they better understand what it takes I can therefore
